HOWARD HOMECOMING 2026 · WASHINGTON, D.C. · CHECKED OCTOBER 11

Your Homecoming group chat needs more than a flyer. It needs the right address, the right ticket, and a clear answer to who is actually hosting. Here is the Divine Nine weekend at Howard: the university’s brunch and Greek Step Show, plus independent Alpha, Omega-connected and Zeta alumni gatherings worth checking.

Howard’s Homecoming runs October 11–18, 2026. This roundup concentrates on October 15–18. All times below are Washington, D.C. time—EDT. University events and independent gatherings have separate admission rules; buying one ticket does not admit you to the others.

BUILD THE PLAN BEFORE YOU LEAVE

Every Yard: your Howard weekend, on the map.

Open each listing for its source, attendance notes and calendar option. University events, independent gatherings and Zeta entries needing reconfirmation are labeled individually. Pins marked campus-area or city-level are approximate; use the organizer’s street address for navigation.

The official Howard D9 events

These two events appear on Howard University’s own calendar. Start with those university links for registration and updates.

UNIVERSITY EVENT · FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16

Divine Nine Homecoming Fundraising Brunch

10 a.m.–1 p.m. · Blackburn Center Ballroom, 2397 6th Street NW.

The fourth annual brunch brings Greek and non-Greek guests together, with a Unity Step Show and the announcement of the scholarship fundraising contest winner. Howard’s alumni newsletter says Delta Sigma Theta claimed last year’s fundraising trophy. This year’s competition gives returning alumni another reason to rally their people around student support.

UNIVERSITY EVENT · FRIDAY, OCTOBER 16

Greek Step Show

8 p.m. · Burr Gymnasium, 2400 6th Street NW.

Friday night moves from fellowship to the floor. Howard’s official calendar confirms the Greek Step Show at Burr, and the Homecoming homepage says tickets are sold exclusively online. A particular chapter’s participation should not be assumed from this listing.

End time and a complete participating lineup were not verified. Howard lists a no-bag policy for Burr; check current exceptions and entry requirements before arrival.

Independent gatherings with D9 connections

“Independent” means these are not presented here as Howard University-produced events. A chapter alumni association can be the legitimate organizer of its own gathering without the event being a university program. An individual host’s fraternity membership also does not establish national or chapter sponsorship.

INDEPENDENT · OMEGA-CONNECTED · THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15

All Black Comedy Show at Prima DC

Doors 7:30 p.m.; show 8 p.m. · 900 Florida Avenue NW.

ABCL ALL BLACK COMEDY LLC lists this Homecoming comedy show and identifies host SHACK DD as a Howard alumnus and Omega Psi Phi Alpha Chapter member. That is the organizer’s stated Omega connection; the listing does not establish fraternity sponsorship.

Ages 18+; mature content. Ticket terms list a two-item food/beverage minimum per ticket. Check the seller’s current admission, seating and refund terms before paying.

INDEPENDENT · ALPHA PHI ALPHA · SATURDAY, OCTOBER 17

Beta Chapter Alumni Association Homecoming Pregame

10 a.m.–2 p.m. · Mu Lambda Foundation House, 2405 1st Street NW, also identified as 2405 Alpha Phi Alpha Way.

The Beta Chapter Alumni Association’s own ticket-page flyer confirms the Saturday schedule. Wristbands are listed at $40 for one, $75 for two or $115 for three; verify the current total and inclusions at checkout. The flyer says proceeds support the Beta Chapter Alumni Association.

This is a separate alumni-association gathering. The flyer advertises alcohol but does not publish a minimum admission age, so confirm age and guest eligibility directly. Do not assume a wristband grants access to Howard’s campus events.

INDEPENDENT · ZETA PHI BETA · OCTOBER 16–18

Alpha Chapter alumni Homecoming activities

The organizer’s 2026 Eventbrite page lists a Friday service project at Martha’s Table from 2–4:30 p.m.; Saturday singing at the Centennial Plot in the Valley at 4:30 p.m.; and a Sunday alumni brunch at Washington Plaza Hotel from 11 a.m.–2 p.m.

Reconfirm before making plans. The page’s body still says “HU25” despite its 2026 title and dates. The Friday service signup deadline was October 10 and has passed. Contact the organizer about remaining space, the service meeting point, song practice, guest eligibility and brunch tickets. No open invitation or hotel discount is assumed.

The two mapped Zeta activities are marked tentative. The service project is described here rather than assigned an unverified Martha’s Table meeting location.

Looking for a Sigma or Kappa gathering? We have not verified a Howard-specific independent 2026 event for Phi Beta Sigma or Kappa Alpha Psi in this roundup. That is a gap in confirmed coverage, not a claim that no gathering exists. Send the organizer’s current announcement through Every Yard’s submission form.

Leave room for the Yard—and the travel between stops

The wider university schedule includes Friday YardFest, noon–6 p.m., Saturday International YardFest, noon–3:30 p.m., and Howard–Morehouse football Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The YardFest events are listed as free; football uses separate ticketing.

The parade is postponed. Howard attributes the change to construction and roadway impacts along Georgia Avenue. No replacement parade date is assumed here. For the broader itinerary, read our Howard Homecoming 2026 guide.

Build a realistic plan: Friday brunch overlaps the start of YardFest; Saturday’s Alpha gathering overlaps YardFest; the Zeta singing time overlaps the football game window. Choose priorities and allow time for entry lines and travel.

Howard recommends Metro or rideshare because parking is limited. Review the live transportation advisory; it contains some inconsistent date text, so check university updates before driving. No parking space is promised at an independent venue.

Howard lists no bags for events in Blackburn, Burr and Cramton, with clear-bag rules at Greene Stadium. Its FAQ says major venues have accessible entrances and seating; contact Howard for assistance and each independent venue separately for its accommodations. Confirm any medical-bag exception before arrival.

If you are staying overnight, compare the full route between your hotel and your chosen venues, cancellation terms and accessible-room needs. Washington Plaza is named for the Zeta brunch; a discounted room block was not verified. Do not book a nonrefundable stay on the assumption that an event ticket or hotel discount is available.

Quick answers before you go

Can non-Greek guests attend the Divine Nine brunch?

Howard’s event description welcomes Greek and non-Greek guests. Use the university registration link; do not assume walk-in availability.

Does an Omega member hosting comedy make it an official Omega event?

No. The organizer identifies the host’s membership, but membership alone does not prove chapter or national sponsorship. We label it independent and Omega-connected.

Is there one pass for everything in this guide?

No shared pass was verified. Check the registration or ticket link for each event independently.

Can I save the weekend to my calendar?

Yes. Every Yard’s event pages offer calendar actions. Calendar files reserve dates; the listing’s time note supplies the verified schedule. Tentative entries still require organizer confirmation.

Where should I check last-minute changes?

Howard’s official Homecoming site for university programming, and each organizer’s own ticket page for independent gatherings. Recheck before departure, especially where this guide flags a conflict.
