A century of coming home deserves more than a football ticket. North Carolina A&T’s centennial homecoming runs October 25–November 1, 2026, in Greensboro—and the university already lists the October 31 game against Elon as sold out.
That changes the planning question: which parts of the return matter most to you? The free parade, step show, alumni gatherings and student-made stories offer different ways to reconnect. Start with the official Homecoming hub, then build your own itinerary—not a plan that assumes every event admits everyone.
A homecoming measured in generations
A&T traces its homecoming tradition to 1926. This year’s centennial celebration is a reunion across generations, not simply another edition of the same weekend.
On September 29, the university named Terrence Jenkins ’04—Terrence J—parade grand marshal. A&T identifies him as a broadcast-journalism graduate, former student-government president and member of Omega Psi Phi. His return connects familiar entertainment culture to the campus experience that preceded it.
The October 16 announcement adds another powerful connection: ten Aggies aged 100 or older will be honorary grand marshals. Their recognition makes the centennial personal: people whose lives span the university’s homecoming history are part of the celebration.
The parade update worth sharing
Saturday, October 31, at 8 a.m. The newer university announcement places the start at Lindsay Street and Murrow Boulevard, continuing along Lindsay toward campus and ending after a right turn onto Laurel Street. Watching along the route is free, according to the parade FAQ; participant applications are closed.

Build the weekend around separate events
These highlights come from A&T’s official student-event schedule. Public ticket links do not guarantee remaining inventory; prices and fees must be checked at purchase.
For a quieter connection to the centennial, the alumni calendar includes the Centennial Historical Gallery. Check that calendar for departmental events and any registration requirements. Several daytime student activities are restricted to A&T students; an alumni visit is not automatic admission.
Parking and transportation: make the plan before the drive
The Game Day Ready Guide now marks prepaid game-day parking sold out. Ordinary campus permits and reserved spaces do not apply during special events.
- Street closures begin at 4 a.m. October 31. Use the guide’s current map, not a saved route from a previous year.
- A complimentary shuttle from Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons is listed for 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m., every 20–30 minutes.
- The designated rideshare drop-off is Laurel Street and East Market Street.
- Stadium gates open at 11 a.m. Download valid tickets to your wallet before arriving; ticket screenshots are not valid.
The parade FAQ does not promise parking for spectators. Decide how your group will reunite if mobile service is weak. Treat the university’s live map and on-site directions as controlling; some repeated text on the game-day page contains inconsistent dates.

Hotels, bags and accessible access
A&T’s hotel-partner page names Sheraton Greensboro at Four Seasons as host hotel. Its listed $215 nightly rate is not a live availability guarantee. Published terms require October 30–31 together, and the September 30 cancellation deadline has passed. Confirm the actual room, total cost and cancellation liability with the hotel before paying.
For campus large-event venues, the university’s bag policy allows clear bags up to 12 × 12 × 6 inches or a one-gallon clear freezer bag, with small clutches up to 4.5 × 6.5 inches. Ask the ticket office about medical exceptions. Off-campus venues can have different rules; check the venue attached to your ticket.
Use A&T’s visitor accessibility page and accommodation form early. Contact the event sponsor about your specific needs; accessible seating requests do not create tickets to a sold-out event. Parking questions go to 336-285-2027. The game-day guide also lists disability golf-cart service beginning at 10:30 a.m.; confirm the pickup that matches your parking arrangement.
Can’t return? There is another campus connection
A&T announced Aggie Media on October 13, distributing student and faculty journalism, documentaries, podcasts and other programming across web, mobile and streaming platforms. A commemorative homecoming channel is planned with on-demand student-produced content. That is a different offering from the announced parade livestream—not a promise that every homecoming event will stream live.

Quick answers before you leave
Do I need a football ticket to watch the parade?
No. The parade FAQ describes free route-side viewing. Football, concerts and the step show have their own admission arrangements.
Is the parade livestream confirmed?
The university’s October 16 announcement confirms it and links to YouTube. Check that newer announcement rather than relying on the older FAQ or last year’s replay.
Can I show up at any student event?
No. Read the audience restriction on each listing. A student-only or invitation-only event is not a general public gathering.
Where do last-minute changes belong?
Check the official Homecoming hub, event ticket page and Game Day Ready Guide before departure. Save the relevant confirmations offline and share the current links with your travel group.
