Official Orange Blossom Classic Week schedule
The organizer describes the Classic as a weeklong HBCU experience rather than a single football game. The official event calendar currently confirms these key public events:
Tuesday, September 1: OBC Career Fair
- Time: 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.
- Location: Betty T. Ferguson Recreational Complex, 3000 NW 199th Street, Miami Gardens
- Purpose: Connecting students, graduates and professionals with employers and organizations
The organizer says additional employer and registration information will be announced. Use the official event page rather than relying on an older flyer.
Friday, September 4: Commissioner’s Welcome Reception and Kick-Off Luncheon
- Reception: 10:30 a.m.
- Luncheon: 11:30 a.m.
- Location: Jungle Island, 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami
- Featured guest: Crystal Renee Hayslett
This is a separate ticketed experience. Purchase through the organizer’s event page and review the confirmation for attire, entry and age requirements.
Sunday, September 6: Fan Fest and game day
The official Tobacco Free Florida Fan Fest takes place at the South Side Fountain Plaza at Hard Rock Stadium. It is free with a game ticket and is expected to include entertainment, food vendors, activations and a live performance by Trina. The organizer has not published a precise Fan Fest start time on the public event page, so check your ticket confirmation and the event site closer to game day.
The football game begins at 3:00 p.m. ET. Because the stadium campus will be busy and parking is prepaid, arriving early is the safest plan.
How to buy tickets and parking
Use the official ticket portal, which routes buyers to the authorized ticketing page. The organizer says parking costs $30 and can be added during ticket purchase, with a limit of one parking pass per order.
Group support depends on group size. The official ticket page provides contacts for youth groups of 50 or more, travel groups of 25 or more and smaller groups. It also says general group-ticket purchasing is still marked “coming soon,” so group leaders should use the listed organizer contacts rather than assuming a standard checkout option is available.
Where to stay
The official travel page lists several preferred properties and starting rates:
- Serena Hotel: rates shown from $129
- Hilton Aventura: rates shown from $165
- Marriott Miami Biscayne Bay: rates shown from $165
- Residence Inn Aventura: rates shown from $169
- Marriott Hollywood Beach: rates shown from $169
- JW Marriott Turnberry Miami: rates shown from $219
Several organizer-listed booking deadlines have already passed, including deadlines for Hilton Aventura, Residence Inn Aventura, Marriott Hollywood Beach and JW Marriott Turnberry Miami. Treat the displayed prices as starting references—not guaranteed current availability. Verify the final rate, cancellation terms, taxes and distance from your specific events before booking.
Aventura-area lodging can be useful for travelers considering Brightline, while Miami or Biscayne Bay properties may be more convenient for Friday programming at Jungle Island. Hard Rock Stadium is in Miami Gardens, not Miami Beach, so do not choose lodging based only on the word “Miami.” Compare travel times for both the stadium and any ancillary events you plan to attend.
Transportation and getting around
The official travel guide offers several planning routes:
- By car: Hard Rock Stadium is accessible from Florida’s Turnpike and major regional highways. Expect heavy event traffic and purchase parking in advance.
- Brightline: The organizer identifies Aventura Station as a useful rail connection, followed by rideshare or available shuttle arrangements.
- Rideshare: Use the designated event-day drop-off and pickup zones. Pickup locations may require walking, and postgame demand can be high.
- Groups: Charter buses or private car services may simplify arrival for alumni groups and larger parties.
Important: The Orange Blossom Classic travel page still displays a Brightline promotional block with a 2025 travel window. Do not assume that old promotion applies in 2026. Check current Brightline fares and event transportation instructions directly before purchasing.
Hard Rock Stadium entry and bag rules
The official Hard Rock Stadium planning information describes the venue as cashless and non-smoking and confirms a clear-bag policy. The stadium’s published guidelines generally permit:
- One clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bag no larger than 12 × 6 × 12 inches
- A small clutch bag approximately 4.5 × 6.5 inches
- Medically necessary items after inspection
- One factory-sealed plastic water bottle of 20 ounces or less
Backpacks, oversized or noncompliant bags, coolers, umbrellas, strollers, selfie sticks, weapons, outside alcohol and professional camera equipment are among the commonly prohibited items. All guests and permissible bags may be screened. Event-specific rules can override general stadium guidance, so recheck the policy and your ticket confirmation shortly before September 6.
Mobile ticketing is recommended. Add the ticket to your phone’s wallet before traveling because screenshots may not be accepted and cellular service can slow when large crowds arrive.
Accessibility planning
Hard Rock Stadium publishes wheelchair-accessible and ambulatory seating options, accessible restrooms, service-animal access and mobility assistance. Accessible parking requires a valid disability placard with matching photo identification. Some inner-lot accessible spaces require a specific prepaid ADA Reserved parking pass, while accessible spaces in outer lots depend on the applicable parking pass and availability.
Guests who need wheelchair seating, mobility assistance or another accommodation should contact the ticket provider or stadium before game day. Do not wait until arrival to confirm a seating transfer or accessible-parking requirement.
What attendees should know
- Download mobile tickets and save them to your wallet before leaving your hotel.
- Buy parking in advance and confirm the exact lot and route printed on the pass.
- Use a compliant clear bag or travel without a bag.
- Wear breathable clothing and bring permitted sun protection for South Florida weather.
- Check the forecast for heat and rain; umbrellas are generally prohibited inside the stadium.
- Verify the start time and location for each ancillary event separately.
- Some official weekend parties are separately ticketed and may have their own age, attire and entry rules.
- The main game and Fan Fest pages do not publish an event-wide age restriction.
