Zeta Phi Beta Commits $750,000 to Support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated has revealed a new pledge of $750,000 in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This marks one of the sorority’s most ambitious philanthropic commitments to date, to be raised by 2028 under their “HOPE for St. Jude” initiative.
The announcement coincides with Sickle Cell Awareness Month, a cause both Zeta Phi Beta and St. Jude actively highlight due to its disproportionate impact on the Black community. The timing reaffirms the sorority’s alignment of service and advocacy.
Since partnering with St. Jude in 2013, Zeta Phi Beta has already contributed over $1 million toward the hospital’s mission. The new commitment strengthens that legacy and underscores their ongoing dedication to health justice.
Ike Anand, President & CEO of ALSAC (the fundraising arm of St. Jude), praised the sorority's leadership, stating, “We are profoundly grateful … their renewed commitment helps ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude.”
With more than 125,000 members across 900+ chapters, Zeta Phi Beta will mobilize their network through coordinated campaigns. Among the efforts is a multi-market St. Jude Walk team, which has already launched with a goal of raising $35,000 toward the overall pledge.
Dr. Stacie N.C. Grant, International President & CEO of Zeta Phi Beta, emphasized the impact of this initiative: “Our support of St. Jude … is a testament to impact and resilience. … Our partnership with St. Jude reminds us of the power of resilience, community, and hope.”
This commitment also ties into Zeta’s “Power of SHE” platform, specifically the Health Justice pillar. Through that lens, contributing to St. Jude’s operations and research is a direct action toward equity in healthcare access and outcomes.
By making this pledge, Zeta Phi Beta not only deepens its historical legacy of service but also elevates the narrative of Black Greek organizations as critical players in tackling health disparities and serving vulnerable communities.
