Taking Care of a Plated Ring

Taking care of a plated ring requires a few basic steps:

  1. Clean After Wearing: Use warm, soapy water (mild dish soap is suitable) and a soft cloth to gently clean the ring. You could also use a jewelry cleaning solution specifically designed for plated jewelry. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the plating. DO NOT get the areas with the czs wet ever.

  2. Dry Thoroughly: After cleaning, dry the ring thoroughly. Any moisture that's left can cause tarnishing. A soft cloth is best for this.

  3. Avoid Chemical Exposure: Try to keep your ring away from chemicals. This includes everyday substances like lotion, perfume, hair products, cleaning supplies, and chlorine. Over time, these can damage the plating.

  4. Take Off Your Ring: It's best to take off your ring when doing tasks that could scratch or damage it. This includes tasks like gardening, cleaning, or any kind of physical labor.

  5. Store Carefully: When you're not wearing your ring, store it in a cool, dry place. A jewelry box lined with soft fabric is ideal. If you don't have one, you could wrap the ring in a soft cloth before storing it.

  6. Avoid Excessive Rubbing: Rubbing the ring can wear off the plating over time, so it's best to avoid any unnecessary friction.

Remember, plating will eventually wear off over time, no matter how well you care for it. At that point, you may want to have the ring re-plated to maintain its appearance. We have a lifetime re-plating guarantee if you ever want to have your ring looking like new again!
